Climbing Team

James Wright

James is the County Climbing Advisor and Assessor for West Sussex Scouts. He has been climbing for over 23 years and has a lot of personal and Scout / GirlGuide climbing experience. He holds a number of National Governing Body awards, including the SPA and Rock Climbing Instructor qualifications. James has been a members of the Scout Association since cub age, has been awarded the Queen's Scout Award and Explorer Belt. In addition to his climbing appointments, he is also currently a Scout Leader at 2nd Ifield, Crawley.

Sean Edwards

Sean has been involved in scouting for over 15 years as both a youth member and adult leader. He is currently the District Explorer Scout Commissioner and District Exec Member in Crawley District. He has previously been an Assistant Cub Scout and Scout Leader at 2nd Ifield as well as being a unit leader for the 24th World Scout Jamboree. He is also a senior instructor in the County Climbing/Abseiling Team and District Rifle Shooting instructor. He has completed all of the Duke of Edinburgh awards and Queen Scout Award. In his day to day job, Sean works as a Technology Programme Director for a Government Organisation.

Tim Winter

In his native Hertfordshire, Tim was a beaver, cub, scout and venture scout and loved every minute. He is a keen climber and walker, and also enjoys kayaking, shooting and camping.
